BVK’S CH GLOCK 19 4xW 1xL
BVK’S CH Glock 19 4xw 1xl
It was winter 2019 at a show when I met SFK, after BVK’s 2xw 1gl Escobar won his second. SFK approached me telling me he has a female that he’d like to use Escobar on, I was busy at the moment we didn’t talk much. I gave him my contact, and told him that we would talk the next day and take it from there.
Next day he called we spoke telling me about the female he has that he wants to breed, we agreed on terms. Around August that year we did a mating, SFK slayer Cammy x BVK’s 2xw 1gl Escobar. Cammy was out of Midnight’s Xango x Wildside’s Ch Leilah and Escobar was out of Game2game 2xw 1xl Pedro x Split46 Lilly, it was a 4-way cross(frisco/bolio/yellow/bullyson) the pups were born, 2 were black and 2 brown. The black pups died a few days later. 6 weeks later he called come pick up your dog, I went to his house and took the male home.
When I got home, I took a lot of pictures of the pup, asking myself what am I was going to name him, and a few days later the name Glock-19 came to my head because his rough behavior and hyper active demeanor. I groomed him, 4 months later I gave him a chain spot he grew up hyper active. At 16 months he broke lose went straight to challenge his sire that’s where I’ve realized I have a true athlete that would not disappoint me.
At 18 months I gave him proper class, he was in defense mode taking ear and muzzle holds, he came out clean 10 minutes later though he had this silly move I didn’t understand at the time. The second class he did the same and my friend told me to break him then release again, he was screaming like a goat that saw a knife at the ritual ceremony, so I released him, he came out of his corner like a jet plane.
Third class he was 23 months, I told myself and my friend that let’s give him a hard one this time. We went uphill into a dog 3kgs heavier than him, he would fight & turn at the same time that worries me big time though taking him to the corner convinced me otherwise. Me and my friend felt it’s time for him to hit the pit, yet his match weight wasn’t yet confirmed. We weighed him he was on 17,8kgs at that moment and looked big then we agreed that 16.5kg will be a good weight for him.
We opened the weight, Soulja kennels took our weight at 16,5kgs, everything was prepared, conditioning started. 4 weeks later in keep I’ve realized that 16,5kgs was not his weight. I spoke to my friend, told him that I was pulling out, later that night I called Soulja kennels and did not give him a reason and proceeded to pay the forfeit.
I went back to my drawing board, done the pre-keep just to find his right weight, I got 17 – 17,5kg. It was around November, I hooked him against Bokoharam at the 17,5kgs category.
I was conditioning 2 dogs at the same time Glock-19 in the morning and King spider in the evening. Bokoharam pulled out 3 weeks before show yet he got me a replacement in few days, we agreed on 17,2kgs and the program continued.
BVK Glock-19 | Chaos kennel Makhulu
The day of the show it was a 3 card show, Glock-19 show was the second, we washed, weighed and released against Chaos kennel Makhulu(16.8kg), we won at 45 minutes with a pitkill.
BVK Glock-19 1xw | Underground kennel’s Balfour
The next year Bokoharam wanted to settle the score, we hooked again at 17,3kgs. The program started and 1 week before show he pulled out again, I was angry at him. The next day I received a call from TCK, telling me that he heard my show has been cancelled and there was another guy that also had his show cancelled, but their agreed weight was 17,0kgs. I told them to bring it on and Glock-19 would make the weight.
Second show was against Underground kennel’s Balfour at16,98kgs, that was the hardest and the longest show I have ever handled. Glock-19 was declared a 2xw in 2 hours 53 minutes. I let him rest 2 months before taking the weight out again.
BVK Glock-19 2xw | Faces 2xw
For the third show, I wanted to call out Ch john Snow of smackdown kennels, Game2game told me to take on a local winner before going out. He told me that there’s 2xw Faces in JHB, he spoke to the owner and the show was on. Started my program, third week of my program, a chain break happened and I was not home. I received a call from my brother saying, that Glock-19 was getting seriously injured, and that I had to go back home as soon as possible. When I got home, it was Capone, a Vestrado X Bobby girl dog that was working his stifle hold.
Broke them lose, stressed as fuck. I called my partner Bugsy, SMI and Parabellum telling them I’m pulling of Glock-19, he was fucked up. SMI replied “there’s no way bring that dog here I’ll do aftercare” I said still he won’t recover on time. He said “You worry too much Glock-19 is going to make it to the show”.
I took Glock-19 to SMI he done was he does best, 9 days later my boy came back home, the program continued even though my confidence was not the same as like the previous shows.
Came show day, it was a 3 card show, first show was 2xw Faces vs 2xw Glock-19, the agreed weight was 17,3kgs and both dogs were on point. We washed, weighed and released the dogs, Glock-19 was declared a champion in 1 hour 35 minutes.
BVK CH Glock-19 | Smackdown kennel’s CH John Snow
The fourth show between Glock-19 and John Snow, everything was talked and we agreed on terms though I wasn’t in a good space to condition my boy. I spoke to my kennel partner, Parabellum to take over the work, he agreed. I drove and gave him the dog. The first few days of the program were hard for Parabellum because Glock-19 gave him a few scars. The program continued till the end he was confident that he’s winning this one.
The big night came and our opponent traveled, we got to the venue 15 minutes late, they took our forfeit, we didn’t mind that we understood their reason. The dogs were weighed and washed.
When it was time to enter the pit, my partner got intimidated and asked me to handle, I agreed. We released and the show went on, our opponent was bossing us and Mr ref around, he made a lot of fouls, John Snow bit me at hour mark still the show continued and according to Cajun rules the show was supposed to be over, but what can we do. I asked Parabellum to come handle because I was bleeding and in pain, he got in and got bitten but he kept strong till the end of the show. Ch John Snow decided to stop at 2 hours 21 minutes and Glock-19 became a 4xw.
BVK CH Glock 4xw | GR CH Major
After the fourth show, I called out Gr Ch Major, we had lots of ups and downs before it could happen. We would hook and postpone several times and most of the times I was the one with issues. The fifth show was my biggest mistake and I regret it, but I told myself every dog has its day. Gr Ch Major vs Ch 4xw Glock-19 was a big and highly expected show, it was a 3 card show.
I was financially unable to prepare the dog though Glock-19 lost 3 cutters out of 4, I spoke to CDC kennels that I needed help on this one. They agreed to help with terms that they would do everything, they sent me money to send the dog to their yard. I didn’t do it on the day we agreed on, they got angry and we fought over the phone, then I sent the dog a week later.
They started preparing the dog, working him till show day, I was on my way to the venue night before the show, I didn’t make it on time. The show started while I was on my way to the venue, and when I was few blocks away, I received a call from CDC telling me the show was over, Glock-19 lost in 1 hour 27 minutes and Gr Ch Major became a 6xw.
The interesting part about Glock-19 he was easy to condition because he was a working machine, he would scratch after 1 hour 30 minutes like he just started. A great warrior out of my own breeding and a true definition of a game dog. The best 17 dog I’ve ever handled, to me, he will always be the best I’ve ever had and one hell of a Champion.
